Spring and baseball are in the air
Journal entry by Mark Nowak
March Madness is upon us and hopefully your team is still in the running. (Let`s go UNC - you had me nervous today)
Spring is in the air and that means baseball is near. Justin has had a couple of very good weeks. Spring break for his friends has come and gone, but Justin got to spend a lot of time with them hanging out, and watching basketball. Justin made a trip to the UWW 2 weeks ago, to watch baseball practice and hang out with his college friends.
This is his second week with no chemo treatments. His appetite has greatly improved, but he is having some difficulties falling asleep.
Monday, March 27th Justin will return to Lurie for his half day chemo treatments. If you have any pop tabs please drop them at 810 Atlanta Ct, Naperville. I plan to turn them in next week.
Get your appetites ready for a pizza fundraiser on March 28th at Little Pops Pizzeria in Naperville from 11am-9pm. Proceeds will go towards RomanTough & JWEGSTRONG. Simply mention Roman or Justin during your order and 20% will go back to help these 2 amazing people as they continue to kick cancers butt!
There is a baseball benefit game at University of Wisconsin Whitewater on April 8th. It's a double header with game times at 12pm and 3pm. The Wegner`s would love to see you there if you are able. Go Warhawks!
Please continue your prayers for Justin and his family. It really does take a village to show the love and support Justin and his family has received.
